What I did

I contributed packaging designs across the expressions, building off the brand's archive. Beyond the label, I extended the packaging into the identity, retouching product renders, collaborating closely with a 3D artist, and developing motion assets.

Why— The opportunity was to modernize and unify the Old Grand-Dad portfolio without compromising the brand’s hard-earned equity. The 16 yr required a premium presentation worthy of a rare liquid, while the 7 yr Bottled in Bond, needed to align with this evolved visual language without losing its authority or recognition. The challenge was to build a cohesive family system rooted in the brand's heritage.

How— The team approached the project as a family build. Drawing from Old Grand-Dad’s historical typography and structure, a unified visual architecture was created to flex across expressions. Shared elements, like the wordmark, typography, and structure establish consistency and lineage. Within that framework, the 16-Year-Old is elevated through refined finishes, hierarchy, and tone, while the 7-Year Bonded maintains a more accessible boldness.
